Construction consultancy group RECOM Solutions has opened a Birmingham base for its passive fire protection division, RECOM Fire Solutions, to meet growing demand for its services across the region and beyond.
The new office for RECOM Fire Solutions is at Fort Dunlop and will support its expanding pipeline of projects throughout the Midlands, along the M6 corridor, and across the South West.
RECOM Fire Solutions, headed by Sarah Leadbetter, has doubled the size of its management team from nine to 18 in just over a year. The division also employs around 60 operatives on projects across the country. It specialises in delivering works across live environments for clients in sectors including education, healthcare, residential, defence and facilities management.
Its expansion comes amid increased regulatory scrutiny and rising demand for compliant passive fire protection measures across the built environment.
Services include compartmentation and fire door condition surveys, installation and remediation of fire stopping and fire doors, intumescent paint application, overboarding and fire curtain installations.
Leadbetter said: “Our new office underpins our ambitious plans for the division and gives us a strong Midlands presence in line with our growth. Our mission is to create safer buildings and communities by helping clients develop and implement strategies that mitigate risk.
