Canmoor was named winner of the Scottish Lease of the Year at the 2026 CoStar Impact Awards.

The award recognises Canmoor’s long lease agreement with the UK Government for Westway 200, a newly completed 202,862 sq ft industrial unit, delivered on a speculative basis.

Stephen Lewis, managing director of HFD Property Group and awards judge, said: “Industrial development delivered speculatively at this size is rare and should be rewarded, not just financially via this letting but with praise and recognition via awards like this.

“Not only was the risk rewarded with a letting but a letting to a government covenant, for 20 years and for a market-leading rent.”

Gregor King, Scottish director at Canmoor, said: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award.

“This deal represents a significant milestone for Westway and for Canmoor’s speculative development programme, which continues to deliver best-in-class, sustainable industrial space that resonates strongly with forward-thinking occupiers.

“In the context of such high-quality competition, this recognition is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of our team, advisers and partners.”

Joint letting agents at Westway were JLL and Colliers, while Montagu Evans acted on behalf of the UK Government.

Legal representation was provided by Brodies for Canmoor and Morton Fraser MacRoberts for the tenant.
