Leeds-headquartered built environment TICC (Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance) consultancy, enevo, has completed its third acquisition of the year.
Aegis Services Ltd is the latest business to join the group, following the acquisition of Environmental Noise Solutions Limited (ENS), Element Sustainability and JM Partnership Surveyors Ltd.
enevo now has expanded technical capability, regional delivery and national client support across Building Safety, Building Compliance and Building Control.
The deals were facilitated on the back of two seven-figure revolving credit arrangements from Santander UK in November 2025 and April 2026.
The buy-and-build strategy has seen enevo expand its sustainability, construction health & safety and acoustic capabilities.
It can now provide a suite of services from early-stage planning and environmental assessment through to construction-phase health & safety and operational compliance.
Element Sustainability, based in Chester, brings established expertise in energy and environmental assessments, including BREEAM advisory work.
Doncaster-based Environmental Noise Solutions Limited (ENS) introduces additional specialist capability in noise, vibration and acoustic consultancy, an area of increasing importance within the planning system.
Preston-headquartered Aegis Services Ltd adds a sizeable and experienced CDM Principal Designer capability, alongside construction-phase health & safety and risk management consultancy.
Having grown from two to 10 offices, enevo now has a headcount of 120. Co-founders, Mark Heptonstall and Oliver Bentley, started the business from a spare bedroom in Leeds in 2010.

Mark Heptonstall
Heptonstall, CEO, said: “These acquisitions strengthen our ability to support clients across the full lifecycle of a project, particularly as regulatory requirements continue to evolve.
“Bringing together complementary technical disciplines allows us to deliver more coordinated, practical compliance support at all stages; from planning to construction and post-occupation.
“Each business adds depth in areas where demand is increasing – from sustainability and energy performance through to construction risk and acoustic compliance – while reinforcing our regional delivery across the country.”
enevo has secured several rounds of capital to support investment in specialist capability and resource.
Andy King, relationship director at Santander UK, said: “We’re pleased to be strengthening our support for enevo through its latest acquisitions as the business continues to deliver on its ambitious growth strategy.
“Over the past two years, we’ve developed a strong and collaborative relationship with the team, and we have great confidence in their vision for the business.
“We look forward to supporting enevo as it continues to scale nationally and further establish its position as a leader in the sector.”
