Legal specialists, Talbots Law has appointed a new head of real estate development.

Clare Regan joins Talbots Law from MFG Solicitors alongside fellow senior hire Lucy George, with both bringing extensive experience in advising residential and commercial property developers, investors, and landowners.

Based at its historic Stourbridge office, Regan will lead a team of eight specialists, leveraging the firm’s growing network of 19 offices across the UK to support clients with major development projects and strategic land opportunities.

Weightmans has announced the appointment of Amal Kaur as a partner in its real estate team, with a focus on energy, based in Birmingham.

Kaur’s arrival marks a significant step in the firm’s commitment to supporting clients on ambitious decarbonisation projects and strengthening its presence across the Midlands.

She joins Weightmans from Shakespeare Martineau, bringing extensive experience as a commercial property lawyer.

She is dual qualified across the jurisdictions of England and Wales and Scotland, advising clients in sectors including energy and utilities, retail and leisure, as well as acting for land rights companies, financial institutions, and landlords.

Property consultancy Fisher German has announced 17 promotions across the West Midlands.

In Worcester, Sean Moran has been promoted to senior associate, with Beth Dennis, Bradley Humber, Rory Garside, Sophie Kelly, and Steph Ross becoming associates. Rhiannon Barton has been promoted to marketing manager.

In Birmingham, Nazia Johura has been promoted to senior associate, Jackie Jelfs to senior manager in the commercial property management department, Lisa Keye and Max Fellows to associates, Farhana Yasmin to senior client accountant, and Stephanie Acton to senior business support.

In Stafford, Erwan Harpin from the land referencing team within the infrastructure consultancy department has been promoted to associate.

Additionally, Stephen Holloway, Olivia Duncan, and Samantha Wellings have been promoted to associate partners.
