Private and commercial bank Arbuthnot Latham has made three hires and two internal promotions in its real estate finance team.

The bank said this formed its continued growth and strengthened the team’s ability to deliver solutions to clients, backed by industry experience.

The appointments include Rashid Khan-Gandapur, who has more than 30 years of experience in residential and commercial property finance across the UK and Europe. He has previously structured complex development and investment deals, and will bring this expertise to his role at Arbuthnot.

Richard Truett has more than 15 years of experience in real estate and banking, including senior roles at NatWest across relationship management, real estate strategy and proposition development.

Holly Smyth has expertise in analytics and sector insight, with a background in economics, underwriting and portfolio management. She was recently at Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), where she specialised in real estate finance.

Further, Arbuthnot has promoted Carla Dujon and Nayan Yadav to the real estate finance team, which the bank said was a sign of their “exceptional performance” and dedication, as well as its commitment to grow existing talent.
