Leeds-based property consultancy Carter Towler has strengthened its operations with the acquisition of the Property Management division of AWS Property Consultants.
As part of the deal, Rob Wright, director of AWS Property Management, and four members of his team have joined Carter Towler, enhancing the firm’s management capability across Yorkshire and the North of England.
Following the move, Carter Towler’s property management department now comprises 35 surveyors, compliance, accounting and support staff, overseeing more than 6,500 tenancies nationwide.
Rob Wright added: “Carter Towler has one of the leading independent property management operations outside London, and we’re excited to contribute to the next phase of its growth. We’ll continue to work closely with AWS co-founder Nick Arundel to ensure continuity for long-standing client relationships.”
The acquisition follows Carter Towler’s relocation last year to larger offices on Wellington Street in Leeds, a move designed to support the firm’s long-term growth ambitions.
Ian Greenwood, managing director at Carter Towler, said: “This acquisition reflects our ongoing investment in expanding our core services and providing the highest standards of property management. It also underlines our commitment to sustainable growth and client service excellence.”
Carter Towler’s property management division provides a comprehensive range of services, including strategic asset and lease management, rent and service charge collection, maintenance and refurbishment, contractor supervision, energy and insurance procurement, and health and safety compliance.
Established over 75 years ago, the firm employs more than 60 staff across offices in Leeds, York and Durham, and is recognised as one of the North’s most active commercial property consultancies — completing over 350 deals in the past year alongside its extensive management portfolio.
