Gloucester-based water hygiene and Legionella risk consultancy Primary Water Solutions has been acquired by London-based Celnor Group.

Primary Water Solutions will join Celnor’s Safety & Compliance division.

Established in 2011, Primary Water Solutions provides risk assessments, monitoring programmes, and tailored training to help organisations across the UK meet their legal and safety obligations.

It works with a range of clients including the NHS, local authorities, schools, colleges, and private sector businesses of all sizes.

Michael Dent, managing director of Primary Water Solutions, said: “Joining Celnor is an exciting step for Primary Water Solutions. As an independent consultancy, we have always focused on providing clear, practical, and unbiased advice to help our clients manage the risks associated with water and air hygiene.

“Becoming part of the Celnor group allows us to strengthen that commitment, while giving our clients access to an even wider range of compliance expertise and support. We look forward to working alongside our new colleagues to deliver the highest standards of safety and assurance across the UK.”

“We are delighted to welcome Primary Water Solutions into the Celnor group. Their independence, technical expertise, and strong reputation in water and air hygiene make them an excellent fit for our Safety and Compliance division. I look forward to working with Michael and the team in the next stage of their growth journey,” added Simon Parrington, CEO and founder of Celnor.

Celnor Group was founded in 2023 and is backed by Inflexion Private Equity.

In two years it has grown from a concept to a £200m-revenue international group, with over 35 specialist companies across 60 locations, 2,000 colleagues and operations in six countries, including its first US acquisition.
