Eleven industrial units on Norwood Industrial Estate at Killamarsh, south of Sheffield, are to go up for auction this month with a guide price of £950,000.

Derbyshire County Council has appointed SDL Property Auctions, part of Eddisons, to sell the fully-let units, which are on a 1.5 acre site on the industrial estate’s Rotherham Close. They will feature in the firm’s next live streamed property auction on 27 November.

The 11-unit site is made up of two separate buildings housing a range of businesses, including drilling equipment supplier Drillwell and vehicle branding specialist CJ Signs.

Andrew Parker, partner and auctioneer at SDL Property Auctions, said: “Industrial and logistics premises continue to be one of the most resilient commercial property sectors with low vacancy levels in this area of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

“Occupier demand continues to grow as businesses expand and seek space and that been reflected in the interest we’ve already seen ahead of the auction.

“What makes sites like this one on Norwood Industrial Estate particularly attractive is the combination of established tenants, predictable rental income, and the potential for refurbishment or reconfiguration in the future.

“For investors it’s an asset that offers both stability and growth potential, while for Derbyshire County Council, bringing properties like this to auction can be an efficient way of releasing funds at a time when public sector budgets are coming under a great deal of pressure.”
