Ariel Property Advisors Hosts The Chapin School for Eighth Annual Commercial Real Estate Internship

Ariel Property Advisors recently presented its eighth annual internship program for The Chapin School, an all-girls independent day school located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Michael A. Tortorici, Founding Partner, spearheaded the initiative with participation from professionals in the Investment Sales, Capital Services and Research Groups.
Six select students from The Chapin School participated in the four-day, highly intensive and educational commercial real estate course. The program introduced the interns to the New York City commercial real estate market and a diverse array of topics including regulations and rent laws, pricing metrics, investment strategies and marketing campaigns. The week ended with the interns presenting an investment opportunity to Ariel’s partners and program volunteers.
“We are grateful to continue this incredible partnership with The Chapin School and its students,” said Tortorici. “It is a rewarding and vital task to create more avenues for entry into the real estate industry for women.”
One of the highlights of this year’s program was a panel featuring accomplished women in the real estate industry. YuhTyng Patka, of Adler & Stachenfeld, Jennifer Dickson, of the New York Archdiocese, Kimiya Khosravani, of Akelius, and Gail Donovan, of Ariel, spoke to the interns about their career paths, responsibilities in their current roles and experience as women in the real estate industry.
The following members of the Ariel team participated: Melissa Lopez, Human Resources Operations Manager, coordinated the internship program; Nicole Daniggelis, Associate Director in Investment Sales, Rhea Vivek, Associate in Capital Services, Anthony Priest, Analyst in the Research Group, and Branko Popovic, Market Research Manager in the Research Group, gave presentations about their areas of expertise; and Associates Julian Montilus and Jake Brody served as team advisors for the intern’s presentations.
