Heico 3Q Sales Rise on Commercial Aerospace Demand, Benefits From Acquisitions

Heico sales rose further in the latest quarter, reflecting continued strength in demand for its commercial aerospace products and services as well as benefits from recent acquisitions.
The maker of jet engine and aircraft parts posted net income of $102 million, or 74 cents a share, for the third quarter ended July 31, versus $82.5 million, or 60 cents a share, a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of 73 cents a share.
Sales rose to $722.9 million from $569.5 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $701.6 million.
“We continue to anticipate this highly synergistic acquisition to be accretive to our earnings within the year following closing,” Chief Executive Laurans Mendelson said about its $2.05 billion acquisition of Wencor earlier this month.
Mendelson said Heico anticipates net sales growth in both its Flight Support Group and Electronic Technologies Group for the remainder of fiscal 2023.
