Hanley Economic Building Society has appointed Vanessa Hunt (pictured) as its head of sales.
In the newly created role, Hunt will oversee Hanley Economic Building Society’s sales strategy, spearhead improvements to the lending process and bolster connections with the broker community.
She will also further develop criteria and flexibility in its lending and risk framework and work with internal teams to “ensure consistent service delivery”.
Hunt previously worked at Harpenden Building Society, joining in 2022 as a business development manager (BDM) and then becoming key account manager.
Prior to that, she was a mortgage and protection consultant at Countrywide Mortgage Services for around two years.
Sam Ward, chief commercial officer at Hanley Economic Building Society, said: “Vanessa brings valuable industry insight and a progressive approach to the role. She shares our commitment to transparency, responsiveness and simplicity in lending, and her understanding of the mutual model was an important factor in her appointment.
