Property consultancy Bruton Knowles opens two South West offices
Property consultancy Bruton Knowles has expanded in the South West with two new office openings.
The independent firm, which now has 13 bases across the country including five in the South West, has re-opened its Taunton office in Somerset, having recently opened the doors to a new base in Wimborne, Dorset.
The two new offices will support the group’s utilities and infrastructure team, which assists nationally significant infrastructure projects, such as the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Bruton Knowles previously had a Taunton branch dating back to the 1990’s, which focused on estates management. The company said the opening of the new office in Bathpool had been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Senior associate Andrew Sellick will head up the new Taunton office, having been with the firm for nine years after originally completing a placement year with Bruton Knowles in 2003/4. Mr Sellick will oversee a team of chartered surveyors heading up the Hinkley Point Connection Project, between Bridgwater and Avonmouth in Bristol, which is one of the larger development consent orders alongside working with other regional utility companies.
Mr Sellick said: “We have a strong presence in the utilities and infrastructure sector, both nationally and across the South West. Therefore, the re-opening of this office provides us with a platform to service a wider area in this location and give our clients what they need.
“In terms of the future, we want to continue to develop and grow our Utilities and Infrastructure service, with an eye on renewables and energy, a growing market that we are well placed to meet the needs of.”
It comes after the recent opening of the Wimbone office. Where the head of Bruton Knowle’ utilities and infrastructure team, Gill Froud, is based. Ms Froud has now been promoted to become a partner in the firm after six months in the role, during which time she has seen the team add National Grid, Network Rail and RWE to its client portfolio.
Ms Froud said: “Working environment and culture were key for me when I moved to Bruton Knowles, so I am pleased to have made internal strides within the company, fostering prosperous relationships and expanding to a new office in Wimborne, which is proving key to our further development in the South West”.
