Vail Williams has promoted Chris Davies to national head of building consultancy and Holly Vos to partner, strengthening its building consultancy division amid rising client demand.
Mr Davies, who works out of the Southampton office, has 30 years’ experience as a chartered building surveyor.
He now leads a team of more than 20 surveyors and project managers across the UK.

Mr Davies said: “I am excited and humbled to be taking over from Jeremy, who is a hard act to follow – and will be doing my utmost to ensure that the firm’s renowned second-to-none customer service is maintained and exceeded.”
He specialises in commercial building surveying and project delivery for landlords, tenants, investors, and developers.
His experience spans both the private and public sectors, including higher education and government clients.
Mr Davies has worked on multi-million-pound schemes across the UK and internationally, ranging from heritage refurbishments and new builds.
Mr Davies said: “At Vail Williams I have highly skilled and dedicated building consultancy colleagues who routinely go the extra mile for clients. It is a personal honour to be leading such an excellent team.”
Ms Vos, based in Woking, joined the firm in 2021.
She leads the building consultancy team in Surrey.
She provides pre-acquisition advice, strategic dilapidations guidance, and financial settlement negotiations for investors, landlords, and occupiers.

Ms Vos said: “I am thrilled to have been promoted. My role is to lead the Surrey team in genuinely adding value for our existing and future clients across the whole range of building consultancy services.”
Managing partner Danny George said: “Holly’s promotion is well deserved. She is adaptable and able to apply her skills and previous experience to individual client requirements across a variety of asset types.”
Additional promotions at the firm include Natalie Furtado as surveyor level 3 in agency (Surrey), and Freddie Worth as surveyor level 2 in valuation, agency, and occupier advisory (London).
