Estate agency giant says social media ‘never been more important’
While many estate agencies dabble in Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook marketing, some get stuck in – but industry giant LSL has gone a step further on social media, it has been revealed.
The 300-branch giant, which operates largely under the Reeds Rains and Your Move brands, has appointed a national media agency just to manage its now franchised network’s output.
That agency, Leeds-based Prohibition, says its central focus will be to help each branch better leverage social media marketing, with the “aim of building their reputations locally, and better attracting and converting landlords and sellers”.
Also, Prohibition will be creating a group-wide social media playbook, highlighting ‘best practice’.
LSL reveals that its research suggests 67% of buyers are more likely to trust an agent which is active on platforms like Twitter and Facebook, while 60% admit they have been persuaded to buy a property after seeing it on a social network.
“Social media has never been more important in the domestic property market, with both vendors and buyers increasingly basing their decision making on what they have seen online, whether that’s which estate agent to list with, right through to which property to view or buy,” says Emma Tildesley (pictured) Your Move and Reeds Rains senior brand marketing manager.
“But maintaining best practice across 300 branches can be a challenge, and that’s exactly what this project is going to address, helping keep our Franchise partners at the forefront of the market.”
Will Ockenden, director of Prohibition PR, comments: “This is exactly the type of training brief we love to work on; large scale, and with the potential to drive meaningful behaviour change and tangible business results.”
