Tapas and wine bar coming to former Coventry estate agents this summer
A new tapas and wine bar is set to open in Coventry this summer. Olive Tapas and Wine Bar is a family-run independent restaurant which will open at a former estate agents just outside the city centre.
The new venture is set to open in August in intimate settings of a building which was previously Randall Estate Agents. It is hoped it will add to a burgeoning dining scene on The Butts.
So what will be on offer at Coventry’s newest restaurant? Aslan Debz, owner of Olive’s told CoventryLive: “We will be offering a wide range of fresh homemade flavoursome Mediterranean tapas along with a collection of Mediterranean wines and spirits. Providing a home cooked tasty meal in a relaxing and cosy atmosphere, whether you are having an evening of celebrations or looking for a pre or post theatre dinner. A variety of meat, fish and vegetables dishes will be available to suit everyone.

“Olive will only have a maximum of 12 tables, therefore booking in advance would be highly recommend especially on a weekend. We will be open seven days a week.
“All our family and friends have been working flat-out to transform the old Randall Estate Agents into a sophisticated dining space with a brand-new kitchen.”
Discussing the choice of location, Aslan said: “The Butts always looks busy and already has a couple of busy pre-existing restaurants such as Arco Italian and Akbars, so therefore has a lot of footfall. It’s near to town and there’s a lot of student accommodation present and upcoming as well as places such as the Ramada hotel that we hope to attract people from.
“We believe that there is a gap in the market for a tapas restaurant in Coventry. We will provide a high quality standard of food along with a friendly knowledgeable service in a modern and clean environment to give Olive a great reputation and to excite guests to return for repeat visits.
“We have a group of chefs with high culinary skills and inventiveness who have worked in many countries, many cities and a lot of passion and knowledge to provide to the people of Coventry.”
