Marketing and bids consultancy Stephen Alexander launches
Marketing and consulting experts Stephen Timmins and Alex Footman have collaborated to launch a new advisory brand in the West Midlands. Stephen Alexander will work to help businesses secure new clients, by offering bid management and communications services.
Life within the bid team is difficult. With high expectations, short timescales and ongoing deadlines, bid teams are expected to be masters of all trades to exceed the requirements of the client to win those key, strategic contracts. New consulting firm Stephen Alexander aims to help with this.
After growing up together in Worcestershire, founders Stephen Timmins and Alex Footman accrued a combined 40 years of experience in marketing and business development. This led them to see an opportunity to create a unique consultancy: one that combines the key elements of the work winning process to help businesses achieve more and grow.
Timmins, who is a Director at the new firm, noted, “There are plenty of consultancies out there that offer either marketing, business development, or bid management services. We spotted a gap in the market to bring all areas of the work winning process together under one roof, and we are already seeing strong appetite for our services in the market.”
Footman was most recently head of marketing and business development for global advisory firm Quantuma – a restructuring specialist which has grown rapidly in recent years – while prior to that he was part of legal services group Gateley’s marketing team. Timmins recently headed up the bid management function for Novus Property Solutions, and was also at Arcus Facilities Management, J Tomlinson and several construction firms.
Also a Director, Footman added, “We are incredibly excited to get Stephen Alexander launched and to support businesses in delivering their growth plans. We have a wealth of experience and expertise in developing strategic plans as well as providing the hands-on support for businesses in a range of sectors.”
Working with business owner-managers, directors, and in-house bid, marketing, and business development teams, Stephen Alexander looks to support clients in the delivery of bids and tenders, lead generation, marketing planning and campaigns, business development, digital and events marketing. The firm will also provide interim services, helping marketing and bid teams address capacity and resource issues.
