A Bromsgrove industrial building has been sold to Fogstar, a UK manufacturer of lithium batteries, in a transaction exceeding £1m.
The property, Plot 11 Cartwright Road on Saxon Business Park in Stoke Prior, was previously owned by the family behind Worcestershire-based Falcon Contract Flooring.
The building comprises a 9,672 sq ft detached warehouse with two-storey offices, a loading area, car park, and secure rear yard. Its location provides strong access to the UK motorway network via Junction 5 of the M5, three miles away.
Sara Garratt of Harris Lamb, who oversaw the deal, said: “Freehold industrial opportunities within the wider Midlands are rarely brought to market, so there was significant interest from potential buyers keen to take ownership of this modern property on a well-established business park with great access links. The location and specification of the building resulted in a number of enquiries and offers and it was sold to Fogstar for £1.2 million.”
The sale follows Falcon Contract Flooring’s 12-year lease agreement on a 28,500 sq ft warehouse at Potter Space Droitwich in 2024.
Ian Hasall, chairman of Falcon Contract Flooring said: “This building has been part of our family’s business journey for many years, so the decision to sell wasn’t taken lightly. Following our move to new premises, it felt like the right time to pass the property on to a business that can make the most of it. We were really encouraged by the level of interest and are pleased it’s been acquired by Fogstar, whose ambitions and growth reflect the strength of the location. Harris Lamb and Sara in particular, handled the sale with professionalism and care throughout.”
