Samay Raina’s latest exchange with comedian Sharon Verma on India’s Got Latent Season 2 has caught attention online after what began as a joke about her Bihari roots quickly turned into a sharp comeback aimed at the host himself.

During the episode, Samay introduced Sharon in his usual irreverent style and joked, “She is from Bihar. She is so Bihari; she thinks ‘ebola’ means someone said something.”

Sharon wasted no time in responding. Turning the joke back on Samay, she said, “Samay is so Kashmiri; he loves getting stoned.”

The banter continued when Samay added, “Sharon Verma is a Bihari who came to Mumbai in search of a job. Just Bihari things.”

That was when Sharon delivered the punchline that left both Samay and the panel laughing. She replied, “At least, I left my state by my choice.”

Samay immediately burst into laughter, stood up from his seat and applauded Sharon’s comeback. The audience also reacted loudly as the moment turned into one of the most talked-about exchanges from the episode.

A clip of their interaction later surfaced on social media and drew several reactions from viewers. One person wrote, “She cooked him hard,” while another joked that Samay had tried to roast Sharon but ended up getting roasted himself.

Sharon is already familiar to viewers of India’s Got Latent. She had earlier appeared as a contestant during the show’s first season and has now returned to the franchise, this time getting another opportunity to match Samay’s humour with her own quick responses.

Her latest appearance once again highlighted the unscripted nature of the show, where much of the entertainment comes from contestants and panel members turning jokes back on one another.

India’s Got Latent Season 2, created and hosted by Samay Raina, premiered on June 20, 2026, and is available on Netflix India and YouTube.

The second season arrived after the first instalment faced significant controversy and legal scrutiny. That history has also become part of the show’s humour, with the new season reportedly making tongue-in-cheek references to its increased legal oversight.

While some viewers have debated whether the second season feels more restrained than the original, moments like Sharon’s comeback have continued to generate viral conversations online.
