Edinburgh firm Holyrood PR has been named Scotland’s PR agency of the year for its diverse work helping women affected by miscarriages, disabled swimmers and Scotland’s space sector.
The team accolade was one of four won by Edinburgh-based Holyrood PR at the PRCA DARE Awards, celebrating the best of Scotland’s PR sector.
The honours reflected a landmark year for Holyrood PR, recognising both the impact of its client campaigns and the agency’s own transformation over the past 12 months.
As well as being named Small to Medium Consultancy of the Year, it also secured the Diversity, Inclusion and Purpose Award with Scottish Swimming for its campaign to expand swimming opportunities for disabled people and older adults.
The firm won a separate award for Event/Launch of the Year for supporting the national rollout of Dignity Care’s pioneering Miscarriage Collection Cradle, which is transforming choice and compassion in miscarriage care. The team also secured the B2B Award for its international campaign for Scottish space company Aurora Avionics. The campaign generated new commercial contracts for the growing firm.
Chris Fairbairn, Deputy Managing Director at Holyrood PR, said: “It was a privilege to work on such meaningful and powerful campaigns that can deliver real change.”
Holyrood PR has strengthened its senior leadership team, strengthened its public affairs and crisis communications offerings, recorded its strongest ever financial performance and committed to a six-figure investment in refurbishing its Leith offices.
Chris added: “Winning four awards is incredibly special. They reflect a year where we’ve challenged ourselves to become a stronger agency, invested in brilliant people and delivered campaigns that have made a genuine difference for our clients.
“It’s a hugely exciting time for Holyrood PR. Everything we’ve invested in over the past year has been about giving our clients access to even stronger strategic thinking, deeper expertise and a team that’s always pushing itself to deliver better results.
“These awards belong to every member of our team and to the fantastic organisations across the private, public and third sectors that we’re privileged to work alongside every day.”
The Awards took place on 24 June during a ceremony at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. Holyrood PR’s 13-strong team collected more awards than any other winner. The firm was shortlisted in seven categories on the night.
