A multi-disciplinary consultancy has opened a new Bath office after doubling its South West workforce and turnover in nine months.
Greater Manchester-headquartered The LK Group says the expansion will strengthen its presence across Bath and Bristol, where it has a growing client base.
The new office will be led by regional director Simon Leat, who joined last year following a series of contract wins.
These include a £4 million framework with Dorset Council covering site investigation and materials testing services.
The team has also recently worked with Bath-based Integral Engineering Design on site investigation design and ground investigation.
Simon says the new base will provide capacity for further growth across the region as the consultancy continues its wider national expansion.
He said: “Having a base in Bath gives us a strong foundation to keep building on the growth we’ve seen over the past year.
“Our focus now is to keep expanding our client base across the business centres of Bath and Bristol, and to grow the team that meet that demand.”
The LK Group employs more than 50 people and also has bases in Manchester city centre and Glasgow alongside its headquarters in Radcliffe.
Its current portfolio includes Eden Project Morecambe, Ashton Market, Staffordshire Gateway, Soapworks, Paw Patrol Land and Birtenshaw High School.
