Multi-disciplinary consultancy The LK Group has opened a Bath base after doubling its South West revenues and headcount in nine months.
The firm says the move supports growth in Bath, Bristol and the wider region, where it has secured a series of wins including a £4m framework with Dorset Council for site investigation and materials testing services.
The office will be led by Simon Leat, who was appointed regional director for the South West last year.

“Simon and his team have built a strong local reputation, and this move gives us a base to match our ambitions for the region.”
Leat added: “Having a base in Bath gives us a strong foundation to keep building on the growth we’ve seen over the past year.
“Our focus now is to keep expanding our client base across the business centres of Bath and Bristol, and to grow the team that meet that demand.”
The team has recently advised Bath-based Integral Engineering Design on site investigation design and ground investigation.
The LK Group is headquartered in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, with offices in Manchester city centre, Glasgow, and now Bath.
The firm employs more than 50 people nationally and is working on projects including Eden Project Morecambe, Ashton Market, Staffordshire Gateway and Birtenshaw High School.
The Bath opening follows the recent appointment of Giovanni Smanio as director of structures.
