The Edinburgh move follows the recent relocation of Knight Frank’s Aberdeen team to Albyn Place in the Granite City, securing another modern workplace for its Scottish operations. The office development at 30 Semple Street is said to be among Edinburgh’s most sustainable, being the first in Scotland to achieve BREEAM “outstanding”, Nabers 5* accreditation, and a “platinum” Airscore.

Figures released last month by Knight Frank showed that the take-up of office space in Edinburgh bounced back in the first quarter of this year following sluggish activity in 2025, when take-up fell to its lowest since 2020.

Some 128,000sq ft of office space in Edinburgh was taken up in the first three months of this year, up 39% on the same period 12 months earlier. A total of 37 deals transacted.
Driving activity were deals in the banking and finance and professional services sectors, traditionally among the most important to the economy of the Scottish capital, with energy occupiers also described as “buoyant”. However, the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East towards the end of February has since led some occupiers to put activity on hold.
Knight Frank’s commercial property offices in Scotland, which also include Glasgow, offer services ranging from capital markets advisory and office agency to valuations and building consultancy.
