Severn Mortgage and Protect, a Shrewsbury-based mortgage brokerage, has launched a new commercial finance arm, Severn Commercial Finance, marking an expansion into business lending.
The move comes after the firm recently relocated to larger premises at The Hay Yard on Shrewsbury Business Park to accommodate growth and support its expanding team.
The new division will provide commercial mortgages, development finance, bridging loans and business loans through a broad panel of lenders, operating from the same Shrewsbury base as the existing business.
Rob Brookes, business principal of Severn Mortgage and Protect said: “Over the years, we’ve worked with many clients whose needs extend beyond residential mortgages, whether that’s business growth, property investment or more complex funding arrangements.
“Launching Severn Commercial Finance allows us to support those clients more completely, with a dedicated focus on commercial lending and access to a wide range of specialist funding options.”
