Property consultancy builds with takeover

A chartered surveyor and property consultancy has expanded with a takeover.

Graham + Sibbald has bought Fleurets.

Bosses say the move for the leisure sector property consultancy will “enhance” Graham + Sibbald’s offer across hotel, pub, restaurant, nightclub and leisure assets.

Under the terms of the deal, Graham + Sibbald and Fleurets will continue trading as separate entities before uniting under the former’s brand.

Dundee-headquartered Graham + Sibbald has offices across Scotland, with its portfolio also including bases in Newcastle, Manchester and the South East of England.

Fleurets’ London head office is matched by sites across the UK, including a Leeds base, which covers Northumberland down to Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Les McAndrew, Graham + Sibbald chief executive, said: “Fleurets brings an invaluable 200-year history of expertise, trust and solid relationships in a key growth sector for our business.

“While Graham + Sibbald has an established presence in hospitality and leisure, our combined offer will enhance this with more specialist consultants in key locations across England.”

Paul Hardwick, Fleurets’ managing director, added: “The board sees huge opportunity for significant growth in the hotel and leisure sectors.

“The combined strength of the two companies, and the additional service lines we can offer, will be invaluable.”
