Enablis, a Leeds-headquartered AI technology consultancy, has expanded into London with the opening of a new office in Farringdon and the appointment of two senior leaders to support its next phase of growth.
The London office, which opened on 13 July, is complemented by the appointments of Matt Feeney as chief AI officer and Mark Melvin as client partner, strengthening the firm’s capability to help enterprise organisations adopt AI at scale.
Founded in 2020 and backed by private equity investment in 2023, the business rebranded from Fruition Consulting to Enablis in 2024 as it evolved from technology consultancy to an AI-native business.
Since then, the company has grown to 42 employees in 20 months, delivering revenue growth of £5.6m an increase of 33 per cent between 2024 and 2025.
The company plans to recruit a further 10 AI-fluent consultants across engineering and delivery over the next six months.
Feeney arrives from PA Consulting, where, as a director, he helped organisations move from AI ambition to measurable value by building AI blueprints rooted in business strategy before designing, deploying and governing agentic solutions in live environments.
He said: “The AI conversation in every boardroom has changed. It’s no longer ‘should we?’ – it’s ‘we’ve run the pilots, so where’s the return?’
“Most organisations aren’t short of ideas; they’re stuck between a demo that impressed and production AI that delivers value.
“That’s exactly the gap Enablis is built to close – every engagement ends with an outcome.”
Melvin brings extensive experience in corporate transformation, strategic partnerships and enterprise growth across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
His previous roles include vice president EMEA at Mach49 and director at Accenture, where he advised executive teams on corporate venture building, innovation and investment strategy.
He said: “What attracted me most was Enablis’ customer-first culture, entrepreneurial mindset and ambition to help organisations modernise and grow through technology.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with clients to realise greater value from their technology investments and support their transformation ambitions.”
Enablis works across financial services, transport and logistics, high-growth private equity-backed technology companies and the public sector. Its clients include PokerStars, Monzo, Engine by Starling, P&O Ferries, StepChange and TransUnion.
Sarah Pawson, founder and CEO, added: “Opening our London office is an important milestone for us and reflects the increasing demand we’re seeing from organisations looking to move beyond AI experimentation and into production.
“It has always been important to us to work alongside our clients, not at a distance. Organisations don’t want theory; they want to see real examples of AI embedded into a business and delivering value, from first idea through to production. That’s the work we do every day.
“Matt and Mark are a significant investment in that future. Matt brings deep experience of taking AI beyond pilots into production-grade solutions that organisations can run, govern and scale while Mark brings the client leadership needed to build long-term partnerships as we continue to grow in London.”
